I really like clean and simple a.k.a. CAS cards. I think it is my style now Simple card, stamping or some embellishments but not overtaking the card itself.
I follow Christmas Card Challenges blog posts and this week challenge is to create cards with no stamping. Ah what?! No stamping?! How would I do that? I went through all my stash and kits, I found Sparkle & Shine Complements Dimensional Elements has this NOEL pennants, red baker’s twine from Mini-Medley Accents Ruby Collection, Sparkle & Shine Washi tape 3-pack.
Here’s the card I made:
I cut white daisy cardstock into 4.25×5.5 in card base. Then I used my Crop-A-Dile punch I punch holes on each pennant cutouts and added the twine to make the Noel Banner. Here here is a trick to tread the twine in the small holes to use schotch tape. I made a knot at the end of each banner twine and added a dap of Tombow glue (it dries clear & super strong!). I also used a glue dot under each letter pennant. And finished it with washi tape at the bottom of the card and rounded the corners with corner rounder.
This my first card without stamping and I kindda like it What do you think?
I found a bag of these sparkly Christmas color sequins at HobbyLobby last weekend and gotta use them on my Christmas cards
For the paper packs, I used Authentique Christmas scrap papers I had left from making some cards couple months ago. The sentiment stamp I used is from Workshops On The Go® Frosted Cardmaking Kit. I finished it with red ribbon I got from HobbyLobby last year.
This card I link to Less Is More Challenge Week 148.
I am still making Christmas Cards… about 20 more to go. My target is sending all the cards by next Monday (12/9) so yah… I am making them fast. So thankful that my sweet girls are having fun with me at my craft loft
This is one of the cards I made today… I like how it turned out
I used second-generation stamping technique for the falling snow background and the trees. For the sentiment, I stamped it with white ink, added some clear embossing powder on it and then heated it up with my craft heater.
And for the inspiration I got from The Paper Players Challenge #174
and the sketch is from FTL268
And supplies I used for the card are:
4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″ White Daisy Die-Cut Cards & Envelopes
Sparkle & Shine Paper Packet
Sparkle & Shine Washi Tape 3-Pack
Workshops On The Go® Frosted Cardmaking Kit (evergreen stamp)
White Daisy Exclusive Inks® Stamp Pad
New England Ivy Exclusive Inks® Stamp Pad
Juniper Exclusive Inks® Stamp Pad
Clear Detail Embossing Powder
3-D Foam Tape

Another quick card I made for friends and family this Thanksgiving season I used My Reflections Spellbound paper packet (retired) I got couple months ago when they were on While Supplies Last list. It is also a good time to check the supplies at the Retiring Items for stacking up your supplies. They have A LOT of pretty paper packets, embellishments, tools, glitter gels, embossing powder and even the craft heater! Don’t miss it out!
I used my paper trimmer to cut the squares and corner punch to rounded the corners. And to add some dimensional looking on my card, I used 3D foam tape. The sentiment I used is Quick Cards—Bountiful Season stamp set that I stamped using Autumn Terracotta Exclusive Inks® Stamp Pad.
Thanks for stopping by this time!
I made this project to apply for Mae Sunshine Designs DT Call that lasts until November 30th. Check out details here.
WELCOME TO OUR NOVEMBER BLOG HOP!
I AM SO GLAD YOU ARE HERE
I love to see you here again this month! If you are here from Elizabeth’s blog, then you are at the right place but If you just happen to be here first, please visit Elizabeth’s blog where this hop begins. She has created a beautiful project with Huntington paper packet, hasn’t she?
I am making a bunch of Thank You/Thanksgiving cards to send out to friends and family, these 2 of them that I would love to share with you today:
I cut some 4″ x “5.25″ and 3″ x 4.25″ Huntington paper packet, and cut some 4.25″ x 11″ kraft card stock for the card bases and scored them in the middle using my paper trimmer. To make the big banner in the middle, I used the trick to cut the middle paper first and then cut from one corner to the end of the middle cut, did the same both sides.
Next I stamped the Banner Wishes on white daisy cardstock several time as many as I needed for the cards. I used Barn Red Exclusive Inks® Stamp Pad and Autumn Terracotta Exclusive Inks® Stamp Pad and then I fussy cut them.
I got all ready to put them together. First, I added the first layer paper packet using Tombow® Adhesive and them added the big banner in the middle using the same adhesive. Then I added the Banner Wishes sentiment in the middle of the big banner using 3-D Foam Tape to give some dimension to the card.
For the inside, I cut some 4″ x” 5.25″ white daisy cardstock and added them using Tombow® Adhesive on both side of the inside card so that people can write on it. I stamped the “Happy Thanksgiving” from the Perfect Fit—Thanksgiving set using the matching ink with the front sentiment.
I finished it with wrapping some Baker’s Twine Harvest Assortment around the top of the card and added a button that I got from couple months ago from While Supplies Last section. I secured it with some Memory Book Mini Glue Dots® so it will stay on the place.
I hope you like my card And your next hop is Heather’s blog to see what she has created for you this month. And just in case you got lost, you can always go back to Elizabeth’s blog to see the full list.
