Summer Card Camp 2: Pre-Class – Challenge 1

SCC2_participant1I am super excited with my first card making class with Online Card Classes, Summer Card Camp 2! The class starts on July 8, 2013 through July 29, 2013. This is my very first class on making cards, which is a dream come true! I’ve been dreaming to take classes from Online Card Classes for a long time. They have amazing tutors who teach the classes like Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire! And check out the list of Guest Designers for this Summer Card Camp 2:

Since the class doesn’t start in another 2 weeks, they have couple pre-class challenges. The first challenge is a color challenge. We are asked to create a card using at least 4 of the 5 following colors:

So here’s what I created for this first challenge:

I stamped the flowers and leaves on white paper card stock with Sunset and New England Ivy. Then I colored them with the coloring pencils.I started with really soft color, then layered the lines few strokes to make it look darker.

For this card I use the sketch from The Paper Players Sketch Challenge #151:

  1. Helen, this is gorgeous!! The colors are beautiful together and the texture and shine from the embossing adds so much elegance. A beautiful card; thank you for sharing it with us at The Paper Players!
