SEM March Challenge: Laughter is The Best Medicine

In the last few weeks we had some weird weather here in Southern Ohio. Couple weeks ago we had 3 days in a row with 65 F and then dropped to below freezing on the next day, then went up again to 50-ish F and guess what? We got some snow last week. This week we have been having some nice sunny days but still cold to go outside and we suppose to have more snow. This is the longest winter I ever had since I moved here but my husband also said that it is not what he can remember to have more snowy days since he has been living here.

Yes I am so ready for Spring! To go through this long winter, I am thankful to have my two sweet and crazy daughters at home with me. Watching them playing and doing whatever they do are always make me laugh. Looking at their silly faces wash away all my tiredness. And playing with them is my favorite thing to do every single day since they were born.

I am more than lucky, I am blessed!

It is time for new challenge! Scrapping Everyday Miracles has 3 new challenges for you in this month. Enter your projects HERE and check out the goodies you can win 🙂 And you can pick one of the challenges, or do all there, is all up to you. Enter as many as you want!

First challenge is Main Theme Challenge: Laughter is The Best Medicine (oh that’s true!!!). The bible verse we use for this theme is from Psalm 126: 2

Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”

But you can use any version of the Bible you prefer.

Second challenge is Card Sketch Challenge from Page Maps:

And the third one is Scrapbook Layout Challenge also inspired one of the Page Maps sketches:

Christmas In February

Ah? What? Christmas in February? 😀 LOL… I have Christmas in February. These 2 cards are couple from 6 cards I made for fund raising event I had to help the people in Manado, North Sulawesi, Indonesia who lost their Bibles because of the flood water and mud hit my home town.

Both cards I made using Sparkle & Shine paper packet and complement elements. The stamp set I used from the Frosted Cardmaking Workshop On The Go Kit. Both kit retired from Close To My Heart.

First card I used the sketch from the Paper Players Challenge #184:

Happy Snowman

We have been having some cold cold cold days since last weekend. It was the coldest winter I ever had since I moved here in Ohio. It was below zero!!!! We got couple of snowy days, but that was it. I wish cold days but also snowy days. But the girls got to play in the snow for couple times 🙂

This week die cut challenge at Stuck On U Sketches is SNOWMAN. I made this card quick, easy and clean just in 10 minutes!

The cutting files I used is Happy Snowman Square Card from Totally Jamie. I cut a piece of white daisy cardstock and layered it with Frosted paper. And I finished it with a clear sparkle and glittered holly leave I had in stash. The card dimension is 5.5″ x 5.5″. Love how it turned out for a clean and simple card 🙂

I hope you will join us to play this week at SOUS Die Cut Challenge! Can’t wait to see your projects!

Snowflake Pop Up Card

Today is the 3rd Day of Christmas (if you are doing 12 Days of Christmas)… and still winter but it’s not snowing yet here in where we live. I wished to have a white Christmas but not this year, but surely we will have more snowy days in January.

For this week die cut challenge from Stuck On U Sketches is creating any paper crafting using SNOWFLAKE die cut. I created this pop-up snowflake card using my Silhouette Cameo and LOVE IT! You can visit SOUS blog here to see what the Designs Team have created for inspirations 🙂 You have until January 9th, 2014 to link up your project here.

And I used the negative cut out snowflakes and circles from the inside card and used them to decorate the front card. I added some Sparkle Clear gems and silver sequins and on top of the circles to “bling-up” the card 🙂
